What to Expect from My Newborn Sessions
My newborn sessions capture your little one’s first days in the cozy comfort of your home. Below are some examples of my approach to in-home newborn photography, so you know exactly what to expect when you book a session with me.
I prioritize gentle, natural posing that reflects your baby’s true self. With training in safe swaddling, I’ll bring a few swaddles and props to keep things simple and cozy. My aim is to document these precious early days with an intimate and relaxed session that lasts up to two hours, allowing breaks if the baby needs feeding or changing—no rush, just calm, beautiful moments.
You can expect around 30 timeless images from the session, each one capturing the warmth and emotion of these early days together.
How to Prepare for Your Newborn Session
Here are a few tips to make the session go smoothly:
Choose a Comfortable Outfit for Baby: Pick a warm, soft outfit for your newborn to wear.
Feed and Change Baby Before the Session: This helps the session flow more smoothly.
Dress Comfortably: Pick an outfit for yourself in pastel or neutral colors (avoid bold patterns) for those soft, light-filled images.
Tidy Up the Space: Clear any distractions from the nursery, living room, or master bedroom (like bottles or toys) to keep the focus on your family.
Book Your Session Early: Sessions should ideally happen within 14 days after birth. I offer flexible scheduling so we can plan as soon as you’re home.
